Are you TUNED IN to God?

Opening music for program and station identification

DJ - (an extreme, excited type of announcer) - Welcooooooome radio listeners! I'm excited that you have tuned in to WORD, 98.5 FM , your Christian radio station. I'm Doctor Hartman, your on-the-air radio physician, bringing you music with a message for your heart.

And how is your heart today, listeners? Is it beating slowly because you have a lonely, empty heart? Is it skipping because you have a broken heart? Perhaps it is racing because you have a troubled heart. Well, not to worry listeners! Doc. Hartman is here. Yes! The doctor is in and I'm ready to prescribe just the right music for your achy heart.

The doctor's first song is for all you Hot Stuff heart patients out there. You know who you are. You've tried to patch or fill your achy heart with all kinds of things that you thought would make your happy. Things like money, clothes, popularity and good fortune. But your temperature is rising with no relief in sight! The more you try to fix your achy heart with these things the more it feels like something heavy is sitting on your chest. You can't catch your breath and you're running out of time! It's time to pay attention to this doctor and allow your heart to be examined. Here's The Believers with your musical heart exam.

Station identification - (Beating heart sounds) Listen to your own heart beat on WORD 98.5 FM. - the radio station with a compassionate heart for you.

DJ - Hey, hey, listeners! Doc Hartman is pleased that you took the musical heart exam. But to learn more about the condition of your heart, Doc Hartman now needs to update your medical history. Be honest with the Doc! Answer these questions truthfully. Have you ever had worries or fears that held your heart captive? Hmm, I see. Have you ever put your trust in people or things only to find out that they let you down? Hmm, very interesting. Definitely, these answers let me know it's time to spin another song for you. Listen to the Joyful Creations as they present Don't Worry, Trust Jesus.

[Don't Worry, Trust Jesus - "RPM, Volume 3" (clowns performing)]

Station identification - You're still listening to WORD 98.5 on your FM radio. (Beating heart sounds) A Christian radio station that cares about the condition of your heart.

DJ - We're back listeners and the results of your heart exam are in! Now Doc Hartman must tell you heart patients out there the good news and the bad news about your heart. The bad news is that sin has made your heart sick. The diagnosis is clear. You need immediate heart surgery! The good news is the doctor knows the best heart surgeon for the job - Jesus Christ. Put your heart in the hands of the Great Physician, Jesus, and let Him take the sin out of your heart. Here's Phil Love and the Gang with Help Me Jesus.

[Help Me, Jesus - "RPM, Volume 4" (puppetume and puppets performing)]

Station identification - (special music to signal a news story) Now its time on WORD to get to the heart of the matter with our special field reporter, Reid DeBook.

Reid -

Good day everyone! This is Reid DeBook with the latest updates on your local traffic conditions. All traffic is moving very smoothly on the Narrow Road Freeway with no delays. However, just one block over on the Wide Road Expressway there appears to be a huge congestion of traffic. With no clear street signs or directions posted on the Wide Road Expressway, most of the travelers have tried to figure out their own route. This has led to confusion and a gigantic traffic jam. Frustrated travelers are blowing horns and shouting angry words in an attempt to get the traffic moving in a direction that seems right to them. Many travelers have been left stranded on the side of the road. A few travelers here and there have sought a rescue from the mayhem and want their travel to be rerouted to the Narrow Road Freeway. Unfortunately, the popular route with most travelers remains the Wide Road Expressway. One wonders why so many travelers do not choose to travel the Narrow Road Freeway until you read The Word. God's Word tells us in the Book of Matthew that, "The highway to hell is broad for all the multitudes that choose its easy way to destruction. But narrow is the road that leads to abundant life and few choose to find it." This is Reid DeBook at the traffic center reminding you - It doesn't matter what color your Bible is as long as your Bible is read.

Listeners, He is the only one for the job! Jesus has already taken our sins to the cross where He provided a clean, healthy heart for each one of us. But Jesus Christ never forces us to accept His cure. Jesus waits for us to open our hearts to Him so the sin can be removed. Are you still undecided? Then listen as Doc plays a new release from Phil Love's latest album.

[Return to Jesus - "RPM, Volume 3" (puppetume and puppets perfoming)]

DJ- And the heart beat goes on! This is Doc Hartman with five minutes coming up on the hour. My job here at WORD is to help you discover the condition of your heart. I can prescribe the right cure, but only you can bring your heart to Jesus. Jesus will knock at your heart's door until you choose to let Him in to make your heart his home.
